Parent support group for those who have children with mental health diagnosis

Support groups can provide a sense of belonging, reduce feelings of isolation, and offer valuable advice and coping strategies for parents dealing with the challenges of raising a child with a mental health diagnosis.  At Matters of the Heart Counseling, we are dedicated to supporting families who parent children with a mental health diagnosis.  Hillary Bossert-Davis facilitates a monthly group where parents can be with others who resonate with the challenges faced by parents parenting children with mental health diagnoses.  Topics of discussion may include ways to educate oneself and others, communication, self-care, advocacy, and ways to support each other.

It’s essential to remember that every child is different, and what works for one may not work for another. Working closely with mental health professionals and customizing your approach to your child’s specific needs is crucial. Additionally, your support and love play a significant role in helping your child navigate their mental health challenges and ultimately lead a fulfilling life.

The support group meets the second Tuesday of the month from 6-8 at 45 W Brandt Blvd Salunga, PA.  The cost is $20 a person or $30 a couple.  To register contact email Hillary at Hillary@counselingmail.com
