Dawn Mylin

Intern

Sometimes life can feel overwhelming, hard, confusing, or lacking support. It can be a challenge to know what to think, feel, or do next.

Solution: I utilize a holistic and individualistic approach throughout the therapeutic process to accommodate each client’s unique experience, needs, and goals for therapy.

I create a warm and welcoming environment where clients can feel safe enough to share their thoughts, feelings, and experiences and, one step at a time, make progress with their goals.

Experience:

Dawn is a graduate student enrolled in the clinical mental health program at Messiah University. She has experience raising four children who are now all young adults. She has had the privilege of mentoring and encouraging women ages 20-40s in one-on-one capacities. Additionally, she has provided pre-marital coaching for young adult couples specifically using the SYMBIS assessment. Dawn also had the privilege of providing brief in home care for her mother-in-law, bringing understanding as a caretaker and offering support through pain and suffering, difficult diagnosis, and end-of-life decisions. She brings years of leadership and hands-on experience working with children, teens, and adults in individual and group settings across various areas of her life.

More than just my work:

I find myself enjoying the artistic expressions in life while at the next moment rooting for a favorite sports team or discussing a good book topic. I like a little bit of this and that in life!
