Amy Haller
Licensed Social Worker
Finding the space to care for our emotional and mental well-being is not always easy. It takes commitment to tend to these vital parts of ourselves, and courage to do the vulnerable work that growth requires. We all need and deserve opportunities where we feel safe to process our experiences and cultivate skills for meaningful change.
As a therapist, I utilize a holistic, person-centered and trauma-informed approach, drawing on cognitive behavioral, mindfulness, and somatic techniques. I believe you are the expert on your own self — I aim to honor your unique experience, strengths, and needs. I will listen and collaborate with you to identify your mental health goals and help you move toward them with greater awareness, curiosity, and compassion.
I strive to offer a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can show up just as you are and receive the support you need.
Experience:
I am a licensed social worker and graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. I have experience supporting expectant parents in pregnancy and postpartum, teens and adults struggling with substance use, trauma, anxiety and depression, and hospice patients and their families navigating end-of-life care. I have trained with the Postpartum Stress Center, and most recently with the Mindful Birthing Foundation in Mindfulness-Based Childbirth & Parenting, a mindfulness-based stress reduction course for expectant parents. As a yoga and mindfulness instructor, I have worked with both adults and children in a variety of community-based settings. I am also a Holistic Health Educator for Penn Medicine LG Health where I teach prenatal yoga and mindfulness classes.

More than just my work:
I love to dance! I grew up dancing at a local studio, and in adulthood have found my way to contemporary dance. Dance has taught me the healing power of embodied movement, and I’m grateful for the freedom and joy it has given me in different seasons of life.
My favorite place to be is at the beach with my children and family.
