Do you ever get frustrated because you feel stuck and like you’re not getting anywhere in your traditional therapy? Sometimes traditional therapy sessions feel like that, but, there is always hope that our unwanted coping mechanisms will be broken down. What were once helpful coping mechanism can get in the way resulting in frustration.  These coping mechanisms can prevent our logical brain from working with our emotions. When this happens, we lose control of emotions.

I utilize an alternative approach that works alongside traditional therapy, to help the brain break down these unhealthy barriers or coping mechanisms. This process allows the brain to begin building new neuropathways that aid in emotional regulation and can help reduce the symptoms of anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, and trauma.

I strive to create a safe, welcoming, and comfortable environment which allows clients to begin breaking down barriers aiding in their healing process.

Experience:

I recently graduated from Geneva College with my bachelor’s degree in communication disorders with the hopes of becoming a speech therapist after completing graduate school. I have had a clinical internship at East Liverpool City Hospital’s outpatient therapy center where I had the opportunity to work with individuals across the lifespan in improving their speech and language. Often, with speech and language disorders, there also comes anxiety and frustration. My job has been, and will continue to be, to walk alongside individuals who may be struggling and meet them where they are at while also working to aid in the healing process.

Client Focus: children (starting at 6+) and adults
