Kate Eberz
Licensed Clinical Social Worker & Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor
I believe that you have areas of life that are going well and strengths you can utilize to help you address your current reason for seeking counseling.
If you are reading this, there is also probably something you wish was different in your life. It could be a change in a behavior. Maybe you desire to experience less of something such as a feeling or a difficulty in work or a relationship. Or maybe you want to experience more of something such as peace, purpose, or clearer communication?
My main areas of focus are anxiety, depression, trauma, strategies for ADHD, and maintaining recovery. No matter the need, the goal is to find the path forward that is unique to you.
Here’s what you could expect if you come to see me:
I tend to relate with empathy, humor, and kindness.
We would spend time clarifying the strengths and needs you have. This would include getting to know who you are and what is occurring in your physical body, emotions, thoughts, and relationships.
We would collaborate to identify next steps you are able to take towards the resolution you are hoping for.
Through the process, I can serve as a sounding board. I can offer an alternative path, a new perspective, encouragement, accountability, and a resource for ideas and tools to use along the way.
People I have worked with in the past have often stated that they felt understood. I was able to help them find ways to express their experiences and feelings to themselves or another person.
